Web applications have a series of interesting functionalities, but they are not always simple to use because they often differ from one another, which can be confusing.
Metrixum is based on the simple principle that has made IT applications so successful: the majority of tasks can be easily executed by a click of the mouse through the judicious use of menus, directories and Flash technology.
Web 2.0
Metrixum is an integral part of Web 2.0, an application in which the Web is utilized as a platform. This gives users the freedom to define their environment by drawing on their expertise in order to boost efficiency.
Each Metrixum functionality was designed with the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) approach so that even novices would feel comfortable using them. However, a multitude of advanced functionalities have been included for the benefit of advanced or proactive users.
The external distribution of data through standard methods of communication is essential. Metrixum can be used during a presentation, and the data contained in the presentation can be exported to external sources.
These are the possible export formats:
Thus, exporting a dashboard by e-mail in PDF format allows protecting the data.
Metrixum also has the ability to export in Excel. The powerful Excel exportation engine integrated into Metrixum exports not only data, but also mathematical formulas and drilling links. Data simulations are then possible inside the spreadsheet program which contains the main table as well as all the linked ones and formulas.
Data Exploitation with XML
The XML format and XML Web services are also used to transmit data contained in Metrixum. It is possible to run RSS feeds and present indicators created in an interface integrated into another system (or found on a Web page). The Web service integrated into the Metrixum server allows data to be distributed externally.
